Profile
Dr. Robert Joseph Ochieng, PhD, is a Lecturer of English at KCA University and a linguist specializing in African languages, particularly Okiek. His research focuses on descriptive and typological grammar, examining morphosyntax, morphophonology, and zero morphology. He integrates language, pedagogy, curriculum design, cognition, and human resource management to promote innovative teaching, sustainability, and youth empowerment.
Dr. Ochieng has also served as a Part-time Lecturer of Linguistics at the University of Nairobi (Nov 2018–Dec 2024). Previously, he was the Head of Language Training and Personnel Recruitment at Anatolia Academy Kenya (Jan 2017–Mar 2019), where he also taught Psychology IGCSE Cambridge AS & A Level (Jan 2015–Mar 2019). In addition, he taught English as (i) a Foreign Language, (ii) IGCSE Cambridge 0500, (iii) IELTS, (iv) TOEFL, and (v) SAT at Anatolia Academy Kenya (May 2014–Mar 2019).

Dr. Ochieng’s teaching emphasizes learner engagement, critical reflection, and the integration of digital tools to develop practical and transferable skills.
