The department of Criminology and Criminal Justice offers two years full-time or part-time/evening Diploma in Criminology and Criminal Justice. The course adopts a multi-disciplinary approach to studying Crime and Criminal issues in contemporary society.
Successful completion of the course provides access to Higher Education for a Degree in Criminology, Criminal Justice, Criminal Investigation or related course and employment in public, and private sectors, or self-employment.

The target groups of this course are High school leavers, Police officers, Private security officers, probation officers, prison officers, Intelligence officers, Children officers and Community Based Organizations officials. It also targets non-employed people who wish to gain knowledge, skills and attitudes in crime prevention, private investigation or in the diverse fields of Criminology and Criminal Justice

KCSE certificate with a minimum of an aggregate of C- (minus)
EACE/KCE/KACE/EAACE certificate with a minimum of four (4) credits in any four subjects at ‘O’ level, One principal at A level.
12th-grade certificate with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.5.
IGCSE certificate with a minimum of four (4) upper-level passes.
GCE certificate with a minimum of four (4) upper-level passes at ‘O’ level and ‘A’ level passes of C grade.
Certificate in Criminology and Criminal Justice.
Any other qualification(s) that may be approved by the university senate
